We have some big news to share: BARBERTHON, originally scheduled for August 15–17, 2026 in San Diego, is moving to Summer 2027. This wasn't an easy call, but we're confident it's the right one — and it means the event you get will be bigger, sharper, and better in every way.
Why We Postponed
BARBERTHON was never meant to be just another barber expo. Our vision is a three-day festival of competition, culture, and community that sets a new standard for barber events on the West Coast. As planning progressed, it became clear that delivering that vision at the level you deserve — the venue, the production, the prize pool, the partnerships — needed more runway.
Rather than cut corners and rush a smaller version out the door, we chose to give the event the time it needs. Summer 2027 gives us a full year to lock in a bigger venue, expand the prize pool, and bring in the sponsors, judges, and talent that will make BARBERTHON unforgettable.
What This Means If You Already Registered Interest
- Your spot on the list is safe. Everyone who registered interest stays on the list and keeps early access to registration and pre-sale pricing.
- No action needed. We'll email every registrant as dates, venue, and ticketing details are confirmed.
- Early birds still win. Interest-list members will get first access to competitor slots, which are limited per category.
What to Expect in 2027
All six battle categories are staying — Speed Fade, Freestyle Design, Classic Cut, Beard & Shave, Rising Star, and Team Relay — and we're working to grow the total prize pool beyond the original $50K. Expect more live entertainment, more vendors, and more opportunities for barbers at every level to compete.
